ANGELS OF GENTOFTE

Again, Giacomo Ravicchio sign a new performance full of inventions and emotions. I’ve the pleasure to compose its soundtrack.

PLOT

It’s Christmas time, a long time ago. Two little sisters from a very poor family are anxious because their mother is pregnant, she need a medical support. Their father is gone since a long time to defend his king in a far away war.

The two sisters decide to go at the doctor’s house alone. It’s not so far away from their village but on the way back, they are lost! From here, in the middle of the snow and darkness, they will slide inside an imaginary world.

There, they will cross few ancient and forgotten kings who need help too. In return, maybe these kings could help the two sisters to come back at home, in time...

BACKSTAGES

During the recording workshop with the choir, I asked the children to produce the sounds of my future percussions in their mouths. Once sampled, I loaded them on my keyboard and we made together a memorable rhythmic jam session...

For the sound effects, I asked them to produce sounds of rain, wind, waves. To create the surprise, I suddenly proposed them to make me the sound of an atom! This didn't faze them and the sounds they produced made the whole assembly laugh for a long time. Armed with these tons of recordings, I had the basic material to start composing the music for the show.
